PRESENTATION

Dr. Apolonija Gantar is a research associate at the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Computer and Information Science at the University of Ljubljana and a researcher in the field of modern digital lexicography, corpus linguistics, and language technologies for Slovenian. She is the co-author of key digital language resources for Slovenian and language descriptions based on them, intended for both human and machine users. In recent years, she has focused on the development of computer-processable dictionary databases, the structuring of linguistic data in them, and the possibilities of using generative language models in lexicographical work. She actively participates in national and international projects related to digital infrastructure for Slovenian, as well as in international initiatives in the field of lexicography and language technologies.
